Exciting News! I am so excited to be able to tell you that plans are now underway for converting the space above my husband's workshop in Bideford into a purpose built creative space for stained glass as well as a variety of other arty & crafty workshops. It's an old Victorian warehouse with great potential, however, it does need dividing up and having a few facilities such as lighting and heating installed. Once it's completed, it is my intention to run regular 2-hour evening classes to enable students to complete more ambitious projects. With my entire selection of glass and materials to hand there will be a much greater choice than presently, where materials I need for classes in Umberleigh have to be loaded into a small car. I already have quite a few stained glass classes scheduled for 2018. If all goes to plan I'm hoping the warehouse space will be ready by May. Watch this space!
These safety at my workshops is very important and these measures are for everyone until further notice. If you are unable to comply with the following, please don't attend!
In order to keep your belongings separate, please only bring the absolute minimum you might need for the day.
Please arrive at the studio wearing a mask or suitable face covering.
Please use the automatic hand sanitising station just inside the entrance before you come up to the studio.
You will have the choice of a lightweight, polycarbonate face shield or face mask plus safety glasses - Face shields and safety glasses will be provided but you are welcome to wear your own if you would prefer.
As usual, lunch and drinks will be provided but it will no longer be buffet style. You will pre-order your lunch choices in the morning and it will be served to you on a tray. If you would rather bring your own packed lunch/drinks etc. you're welcome to do so, please just let me know.
The workbenches have been divided by a laminated glass screen to enable two people to safely share each workbench.
Tools will be cleaned prior to your arrival and will be exclusively yours for the day. The only exception will be glass grinders which, on a fully booked workshop, two people will have to share. Please use the automatic hand sanitiser spray before and after each use.
