Yes, I know if looks a mess but, trust me, it's going to be totally fabulous.
That 6'1" beardy bloke at the end of the room is my lovely husband, Carl. He is doing practically all the work, such as putting up the ceiling, walls, installing windows etc. He's my hairy hero ;-) Anyway, there is currently a little staircase to the right of him which will be removed to make way for the toilet facilities. There is a small window just behind his left shoulder (currently boarded up) which looks out over the skipyard behind us. Moving forward from there will be a small kitchen area so I can provide lunch for my students. This will be where the first window is on the right. Then we'll have a lovely woodburner on the left where that red space heater is. The rest of the space will be taken up by workbenches, a kiln and storage for tools and loads of gorgeous glass. If all goes to plan there will also be a small area to display assorted stained glass pieces and a space to showcase other crafts. We're aiming for it to be ready in time for the 26th May workshop.
