What do students think of my workshops?
I had a fantastic day. I came away with a new hobby. Gigha gives great advice and is also very knowledgable with great creative ideas, very talented lady. The workshop is full of sparkling colours/different shapes of glass to help make our ideas come to life. I am waiting now for my creations to arrive by post, making the whole experience delightful.. Booked again! ready for the Christmas Workshop.

Another wonderful day at Stained Glass Workshops. So proud of what I created under the patient and expert guidance of Gigha. I would thoroughly recommend attending one of Gigha’s workshops if you are looking to try a new craft or re-visiting one you have tried before. You will not be disappointed.

I attended two of Gigha well run courses, drift wood and making seagulls workshops.
Both were fun, but run with care and attention to detail, care taken at all time with health and saftey, and reminding you when things are hot or you need to be aware. The workshop itself is full of glassy goodness, so bring pennies as youll want to buy her beautiful creations.
All tools were there for all to use, and plentiful too. Everything we needed, and no shortage of colours to choose from.
Dinner was fantastic! Jacket potato and yummy salad.
I attended both classes by myself, and didn't feel at all left out and had a really fun day both times, and I'll be going back too x

What a creative day. I attended with my sister and we'd waited with anticipation for ages as Gigha's workshops are so popular. She was so patient, knowledgeable and relaxed. We both started off with quite a little apprehension and were thrilled when we got the hang of glass cutting. The choice of glass and other bits and bobs was simply tremendous. A crafters paradise! We were in heaven. There was all manner of teas and coffees available all day and a delicious lunch with cakes to follow. I can't wait to book again.

My husband, myself and grand daughters' Nan were given a surprise to attend the mosaic glass workshop as his lordship's 75th birthday gift. All three of us first timers, never having held the tools or glass before as a craft. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Seeing the pictures of our masterpieces, Gigha the patient tutor has people lined up to join the classes. Gigha has a lovely workshop with delicious lunch and refreshments. I would recommend Gigha's classes highly.

I was a complete novice, but Gigha put me at ease. Her passion and enthusiasm was catching! She was very patient and attentive. The workshop was a lovely space to work in and as this was early December there was a festive feel! I came away with some lovely Christmasy light catchers. I will definitely be booking to attend another course.

Gigha's workshops are informative and good fun. You leave with new skills and your creation/s have had a day where everything else in your life is temporarily forgotten while you are engrossed in putting your new skills into action.

We attended a fabulous stained glass terrarium workshop with Gigha in her studio in Bideford. Gigha is a great teacher - professional, informative but most of all friendly and fun. Our confidence grew by the hour and we all came away with wonderful terrariums and big smiles on our faces. Thank you so much Gigha - we'll be back! xx

I’d never done anything like this before, but it was truly amazing and I produced a piece of artwork that gives me an enormous amount of pleasure. Gigha is a wonderfully patient teacher and with scrummy food and lots of coffee a fabulous day, can’t wait to give one of the other workshops a go x
Detailed instruction with plenty of help and advise along the way. Great selection of materials, colours, backgrounds to choose from. Plenty of inspiration. I have attended two courses by Gigha ( copper foil and Mosaics ) and I would highly recommend them. Gigha is a great teacher and explains everything fully. She is always on hand to help and give inspiration. The workshop is great and the atmosphere is very relaxed. You can help yourself to tea and coffee ( nice biscuits supplied ) and Gigha also supplies lunch.
At the end of the day you will come home with something you can be proud of. Five stars.

What a great day! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The glass was beautiful, and we were encouarged to choose some great colour combinations, and unleash our imaginations! I am definately going to be booking another one, the only difficulty is which one to choose next? Thank you for a great introduction to working with glass, I am tired but very happy!

Just attended a wonderful Bunting and Magical Mobile workshop with Gigha at her new fab studio and had a delightful day learning something new. As a complete novice I was slightly apprehensive but Gigha is so warm and welcoming (not to mention patient!) and is a great teacher. I was soon immersed in the beautiful things that surround the workshop, making me full of admiration and a desire to finally end up going home with my own creation!! It was fun with a lovely group of people; a super lunch was provided too! I really will be going back to try another discipline in the future. I really would highly recommend this experience to anyone .... infact I already have!!!!! p.s. my magical Colorful Cloudburst mobile hangs in my window and I am very chuffed with it!! ❤

Brilliant day! Pleasant company, excellent tuition and as an absolute beginner I came away with 2 pieces that look really good. We had a lovely lunch and plenty of tea! The choice of items to make suited everyone and the results were fantastic. It was well worth the trip from Kent to Devon. I shall definitely be attending further workshops.

I found the workshop on line, I booked two places for me and my husband.
Never been on a stained glass workshop, cutting glass was not easy.
Having spent some time doing the glass cutting, I chose my designs, Gigha has pieces made on a table and patterns in a folder. So many designs to choose from.
There is plently of choice of glass, and other bits to add to your work.
Lunch is included,plenty of drinks.
Its a mixed ability group, some people on their 3rd workshops. Gigha comes around and explains when you need to move on to the next stage. I would book again, we both really enjoyed the day.

Fantastic day. Gigha is a very relaxed tutor, and imparts her knowledge quietly and creatively. She worked very hard to give us a special experience. We had a wonderful selection of choices of bases to mosaic and a glass sweet shop of colours, shapes, and variety from which to choose. She also produced a delicious sit down lunch. The day was run in a caring and thoughtful way. I will definitely be on another course soon. I am absolutely thrilled with the mosaic I made, and my husband is very impressed with my results.

I’ve now been to many of Ghia’s courses, both Tiffany method copper foil and glass mosaic. I’m now completely and utterly hooked to glass thanks to Ghia's excellent teaching. The groups have a good mix of people and it’s always a friendly atmosphere and excellent lunch provided.
I have a tendency to arrive at the workshops with big ideas but limited know-how, but Ghia goes out of her way, above and beyond, to help you create your masterpiece. She is very enthusiastic and has a real love and knowledge of the subject. She is also generous in providing further advice and support in being able to buy correct/best equipment to carry on creating on your own away from her workshops. I cannot recommend Ghia’s workshops enough! Give them a go and you’ll soon be hooked too.

I have now been on two of Gigha's courses - one for Tiffany glass making Christmas decorations and the other for stained glass lead panels. Both days were brilliant, I learnt new skills on each day, found it to be a challenge but enjoyable. Gigha's instruction is excellent - she's very experienced with stained glass and has a really nice way of teaching people. The lunch is good too and the location is beautiful. Thanks Gigha, I will hopefully be back.
